Beach vacation...Siesta Key, Florida

During the third week of October, we packed our bags and headed south to Siesta Key, FL!  We have been wanting to get a vacation in and Maryn has been asking to go to the beach so the timing was perfect since she was on fall break.  Our place in Siesta Key was wonderful!  We were on the 5th floor and overlooked the beach.  The weather was beautiful for the first few days and then there was a rainy/windy patch.  We still managed to have fun and enjoyed our first vacation as a family of four.  Maryn of course loves the beach and Theo, while I was worried about how he may react, loved it too!  Let's just say plenty of sand was consumed over the course of the week:)  It is definitely different traveling with two kids.  There were times of stress and lots of carry-out, but tons of laughter and memories made!

Ready for take-off...Theo's first plane ride!

 Yummy sand :)

He always had something in his hand!

 Making sand angels

 Yep, I'm a cool beach girl :)

 High-fives!

 gorgeous sunset

Mr. Sandy Face...he looked like this most of the week :)

On our second day wondering if we will survive the week!

Having dinner at The Hub Baja Grill
They had live music and Maryn loved getting up to dance :)

On one of the rainy days we made our way to the Mote Marine & Aquarium.
The kids enjoyed seeing the variety of sea life and being able to touch some little creatures.

On our second rainy day, we found an indoor miniature golf place, Lunar Golf.
Maryn and Jeremy played...I think Maryn won :)

Wind + sun= us braving the beach (even if we were bundled up)

 Jeremy and his kiddos

 Loving the pool!

Our one and only family picture...such a great week!
